Patty Lavely, MBA, FACHE, CHCIO

Patty utilizes real-world experience and business acumen to transform IT systems with

conclusive results. With over 25 years of IT experience, her mature assessment and

prioritization skills stabilize IT operations and motivate technological enhancements to

advance innovation, operational efficiency and realize affirmative outcomes. Patty’s

success lies in her ability to develop and cultivate new and existing strategic

relationships to support both fiscal advancement and operational excellence.

 

A native of Maryland, Patty obtained a BSBA from Shorter College in Georgia and her

MBA from Florida State University. She is a Fellow with the American College of

Healthcare Executives and is a College of Healthcare Information Management

Executives (CHIME) Certified Healthcare Chief Information Officer. She recently

completed terms on the Board for the Georgia Chapter of HIMSS, the Board for the

Technology Association of Georgia Health and the Georgia CIO Advisory Board. Her

industry associations include memberships in HIMSS, ACHE, CHIME and the Georgia

CIO Leadership Association.

 

Patty’s executive leadership roles in IT have encompassed IT strategy, governance,

transparency, data governance, cybersecurity, vendor partnerships, risk assessment

and remediation along with demand and capacity management. In 2019, Patty was

recognized in both the Becker’s 100 Hospital & Health Systems CIO’s to Know and

Becker’s 102 Women in IT to Know.

 

Patty is also committed to helping others. She currently co-chairs the CHIME Opioid

Task Force and is the vice-chair of the PAWS Atlanta Board. She is the proud mother

of 2 and grandmother of 8.
