Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Active licenses in Florida and Georgia

A CPA license is the accounting profession’s highest standard of competence, a symbol of achievement and assurance of quality. With the first CPAs receiving licenses in 1896, the CPA is a certified public accountant who is licensed by a state board of accountancy. To earn the credential, a CPA is required to demonstrate knowledge and competence by meeting high educational standards, passing the Uniform Certified Public Accountant Examination which is set by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and completing a specific amount of general accounting experience.

Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV)

Beginning in 1998, the Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV®) credential is granted exclusively by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants to CPAs and qualified valuation professionals who demonstrate considerable expertise in valuation through their knowledge, skill, experience and adherence to professional standards.

Certified Management Accountant (CMA)

Offered by the Institute of Management Accountants beginning in 1972 and for nearly 50 years, the CMA® (Certified Management Accountant) certification has been the global benchmark for management accountants and financial professionals. Why? Because CMAs can explain the “why” behind numbers, not just the “what.”
